History & Notes

• In 2008, the water system was replaced. This included the pitless adapter, submersible well pump, drop pipe, waterline from the well to the well house, well house plumbing & controls, waterline from well house to the connection just outside of the Visitor Center building & waterline outside of the VC building, and control cables from the well house to the VC building. The project demolished the buried concrete reservoir tank, located just adjacent to the well house. This project did NOT replace the well house pressure tank; and did NOT replace the waterline that supplies the RV/trailer area.

• The well pump that was installed in 2008 (Red Jacket Water Products, model 20HP 16ST6 16MB6) failed and was replaced in 2013.

• In 2013, a new submersible well pump was installed. Goulds Pump, model 95L20; 20HP, 3ph., 460/380V; capable of pumping 80 GPM.
