About this file
This is a Work Write-Up document prepared by the City of Jackson, Michigan for a residential property located at 107 Francis Court, involving the replacement of HVAC and water heating systems. The project scope includes removing and replacing the existing furnace with a new 95% efficient forced air, gas-fired furnace, installing a new energy-star rated air conditioning unit, and replacing the water heater with a high-efficiency model. Permits are required for the work, which must comply with Michigan Mechanical and Plumbing Codes, and all installations must meet current building and safety standards. The project is part of a sealed proposal process to be received through the City of Jackson's e-Procurement Portal, with contractors able to contact the homeowner to schedule property access and assess the project scope.
The contract opportunity does not specify exact pricing or funding sources, but it emphasizes compliance with various civil rights and equal employment opportunity regulations, including Title VI and Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act, Michigan Civil Rights Act, and related statutes. The project appears to be a municipal improvement initiative targeting residential property upgrades, with a focus on energy efficiency and system modernization. Contractors bidding on the project will need to demonstrate technical capability, adherence to local building codes, and compliance with civil rights and employment standards established by the City of Jackson.
