About this file

This is a technical specification document for the CDEC Salesforce Database system used by the PSSF (Presumed Safe and Supportive Families) Program to track family demographic information and case management activities. The document outlines mandatory data entry fields organized into ten categories: household account creation, contact records for primary caregivers and children, PSSF client case initiation, data system consent forms, CFSA 2.0 assessments, service provision documentation, goal setting, resource referrals, flex funding, and case closure. Required fields are designated with red asterisks and include basic demographics such as first and last names, birthdates, gender, race/ethnicity, and primary spoken language for both primary caregivers and at least one child in the household. Service documentation requires entry of start dates, service categories (adoption support, family preservation services, family support services, or time-limited reunification services), individuals receiving services, and activities connected to service provision.

The specification emphasizes that while only certain fields are marked mandatory in the system, best practice dictates completion of as much information as possible to ensure accurate and complete records. The document notes that mandatory field designations may change with future system updates. Additional required documentation includes a signed Data System Consent Form prior to family information entry, CFSA 2.0 assessments for families receiving intensive case management or services exceeding six hours within three months, and documented case closure with reason for closure when terminating services. The resource referral and flex funding sections are identified as optional activities, allowing agencies flexibility in documentation while maintaining core data collection requirements for program compliance and evaluation purposes.
