About this file

Exhibit E is a detailed document from Sacramento County's SacGreen Team describing the Bulky Waste Pickup service for residential curbside collection. The document outlines a standard service that provides one free bulky waste pickup every 12 months for residents, covering up to 5 cubic yards of acceptable items (approximately the size of a pickup truck bed). Residents can schedule pickups through phone, mobile app, or customer service, with specific guidelines for item preparation and placement. The service allows for disposal of large household items like furniture, mattresses, and appliances, with strict rules about acceptable and non-acceptable materials.

The document specifies service requirements including placing items out no more than 24 hours before scheduled pickup, positioning items 1 foot from the curb, maintaining a maximum pile size of 5 cubic yards, and keeping the pile clear of obstacles. Additional pickups beyond the annual free service will incur current rates. The county offers multiple contact methods, including a 3-1-1 service line, a mobile app for scheduling and reporting, and customer service support. An illegal dumping reporting mechanism is also included, with potential rewards of up to $1,000 for tips leading to citations or arrests. Some items can be dropped off for free at Kiefer Landfill & North Area Recovery Station.
