About this file

This document is a sample Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit template for a federal contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Energy. The document provides a standard bank letter format for establishing a letter of credit in favor of the Defense Energy Support Center, which can be used to secure financial obligations under a contract. The template allows for two specific certification scenarios: (1) when a contractor has not paid for delivered product, or (2) when a contractor has failed to take delivery of product.

The letter of credit is associated with solicitation SP0605-25-R-1000, which involves the sale of approximately 25,000 barrels (1,050,000 gallons) of Fuel Oil Reclaimed (FOR) to be picked up by barge at DFSP Craney Island in Portsmouth, VA. The required pickup date is 20 June 2025, with bid offers due by 3:00 PM EST on 06 June 2025. Interested parties are instructed to submit bids to John Gable via email, including company name, CAGE code, and a signed Exhibit A document.
