About this file

This document is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for janitorial services at a Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare facility. The PWS details comprehensive cleaning requirements for a medical clinic, specifying daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning tasks across various facility areas including restrooms, exam rooms, technical areas, waiting rooms, and common spaces. Key responsibilities include trash removal, floor maintenance, equipment sanitization, and emergency cleaning, with strict requirements for personnel training, safety protocols, and quality control.

The Lessor (contractor) must provide fully trained janitorial staff who speak English, wear uniforms, and adhere to VA safety and infection control standards. They are responsible for supplying all cleaning equipment and environmentally-preferable "green" products, with specific guidelines for cleaning different surfaces and medical areas. The contract mandates monthly performance inspections, weekly performance evaluation meetings, and requires the Lessor to maintain a quality control program that complies with JCAHO, OSHA, and VA regulations. Janitorial personnel will work primarily during daytime hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays.
