About this file

Exhibit "B" Special Conditions is a document from Contract No. C-1907 for the S. James Foxman Justice Center Elevator Modernization project in Florida, detailing specific operational requirements for contractors working within a secured courthouse environment. The document outlines critical guidelines for construction activities, including restricted work hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm), mandatory escort and security protocols, and specific constraints on construction noise, debris, and disruptions to courthouse functionality.

The special conditions emphasize maintaining courthouse operations during the modernization project, with specific provisions such as ensuring at least one public passenger elevator remains operational, performing inmate elevator and oil line work after business hours, and securing tools in public areas. Contractors will need to coordinate with the County project manager on logistics like dumpster and storage locations, and must adhere to building security protocols, including being escorted and potentially passing through security checkpoints. Building bathrooms may be used during the project, and all work must minimize disruption to the courthouse's daily operations.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The following special conditions are supplementing, not replacing nor deleting the corresponding paragraphs in the general conditions.

1. You will be working in a Courthouse. Any excessive noise, debris, or construction activity that disrupts the functionality of the Courthouse will not be permitted and the contractor will be asked to stop work immediately and may continue after business hours.

3. The Courthouse is a secured building. All contractors will need to be escorted in and out of the building and may be required to go through security.
