About this file
Exhibit B is a budget detail and payment provisions document for an Infectious Waste Removal and Disposal contract (PR259009) with the Porterville Developmental Center, a California state facility. The document outlines comprehensive waste management services, including removal and disposal of various types of medical and hazardous waste such as infectious/biohazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, aerosol waste, pathological waste, and universal waste. The contract estimates container quantities across different waste categories, including 1,800 31-gallon containers, 180 2-gallon containers, 180 17-gallon containers for resident units and pharmacy, and additional specialized containers for specific waste types.
The pricing structure includes per-container rates for different waste categories, with the total budget left unspecified but subject to state budget contingencies. The contract includes a critical Budget Contingency Clause allowing the state to cancel or reduce the agreement if sufficient funds are not appropriated in the current or subsequent fiscal years. Additional provisions cover invoicing procedures, with monthly payments made in arrears upon acceptable service performance. The document also includes provisions for training requirements covering topics like Bloodborne Pathogens, Medical Waste Segregation, OSHA Manual, and Infectious Control, with the understanding that container estimates are non-binding but actual costs remain fixed for the contract's duration.
