About this file
This is a Scope of Work specification document for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) establishing requirements for the delivery of cinders (sanding material) to two designated maintenance locations. The project involves furnishing cinders that meet specific gradation requirements to the ODOT Warm Springs Maintenance yard in Maupin, Oregon (8,000 cubic yards annually) and an ODOT sand shed on Highway 26 at mile point 84 (2,000 cubic yards as needed). Both deliveries must be completed by October 1st of each year. Material measurement will be based on loose volume verified by weigh tickets from hauling vehicles, with contractors required to provide cubic yard measurements with corresponding weight tickets prior to hauling each week or as directed by the Project Manager. The Project Manager is Shane Johnson, located at 3313 Bret Clodfelter Way, The Dalles, Oregon 97058 (Phone: 541-296-6219).
Payment will be rendered in full upon delivery of the cinders to the specified locations, covering all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals associated with furnishing and transporting the sanding materials. The cinders must meet specified gradation standards (100% passing 3/4", 85-100% passing 1/2", 25-50% passing NO. 10, and 0-16% passing NO. 100) and must not contain excess moisture. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder meeting the material specifications and delivery requirements. No specific contract term, renewal options, set-asides, or funding sources are detailed in this specification document.
