The subcontractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install new electrical feeders, conduit systems, junction boxes, safety switches, and associated wiring to support two new loads: an Angstrom E-Beam ECR Vacuum Deposition System (100A feed) and a Haskris Chiller (60A feed) located in the ICB-A Industrial Complex. Major tasks include installing new conduit systems (1¼" EMT and ¾" EMT) from power panels PP ICB A 1 A1 and PP ICB A 1 B1 through the Electrical Room, across structural beams, through drywall penetrations, and into QCL II; installing new junction boxes and safety disconnect switches (100A fused Square D VH323BRBGL and 60A fused Square D VH322BRBGL); providing and installing THHN feeders sized per equipment requirements; performing panel modifications including installation of new Square D HDL36100 (100A) and QOB360 (60A) breakers; executing two scheduled power outages (4–5 hours and 2–3 hours); performing all terminations, labeling, phase rotation verification, and panel schedule updates; sealing all wall penetrations with approved fire-rated sealant; and providing cleanup and debris removal. The subcontractor furnishes all equipment and materials, including EMT conduit, safety switches, THHN conductors, lifts, ladders, tools, PPE, arc-flash gear, and fire-rated sealant. All work must comply with OSHA standards, NFPA 70 and 70E, NEC, Fermilab ES&H Manual, and DOT requirements. The base period of performance extends from January 2026 to December 2027. Deliverables include completion reports with as-built routing notes and phase rotation verification, waste disposal documentation including LOTO records and outage coordination logs, inspection and testing records, invoices, and waste material disposal receipts or manifests.

A. OBJECTIVE
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL), operates under Contract 89243024CSC000002 by Fermi Forward Discovery Group LLC (FermiForward), for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is the nation’s leading particle physics and accelerator laboratory. Located in Batavia, Illinois, FNAL is dedicated to advancing scientific discovery in matter, energy, space and time.
B. STATEMENT OF WORK
This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the tasks, responsibilities, and requirements for the subcontractor in support of electrical infrastructure installation for the Angstrom E‑Beam ECR Vacuum Deposition System and the Haskris Chiller located in the ICB‑A Industrial Complex. The subcontractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and Fermilab requirements..
C. SCOPE
The subcontractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, lifts, equipment, and supervision required to install new electrical feeders, conduit systems, junction boxes, safety switches, and associated wiring to support two new loads:
• Angstrom E‑Beam ECR Vacuum Deposition System (100A feed)
• Haskris Chiller (60A feed):
The subcontractor shall perform the following major tasks:
• Install new conduit systems (1 1/4" EMT and 3/4" EMT) from power panels PP ICB A 1 A1 and PP ICB A 1 B1 through the Electrical Room, across structural beams, through drywall penetrations, and into QCL II, securing to existing trapeze hangers.
• Install new junction boxes including 6"×6"×4" screw cover boxes and associated connectors.
• Install safety disconnect switches:
• 100A fused Square D VH323BRBGL for the Angstrom system
• 60A fused Square D VH322BRBGL for the Haskris chiller
• Provide and install all required conductors, including THHN feeders sized per equipment requirements.
• Perform panel modifications, including installation of new Square D HDL36100 (100A) and QOB360
(60A) breakers.
• Execute two scheduled power outages (4–5 hours and 2–3 hours) to safely complete panel work.
• Perform all terminations, labeling, phase rotation verification, and panel schedule updates.
• Seal all wall penetrations using approved fire rated sealant.
• Provide cleanup and removal of all debris, scrap, and unused materials.
• Scheduling will be coordinated with Fermilab’s Facilities Engineering and QCL II operations.
