About this file
This is a Summary of Work exhibit for the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners in Florida, detailing project CC-7172-26/HSM for Rinehart Road Force Main Valve and Flow Meter Installation in Lake Mary. The project scope requires installation of five new 16-inch plug valves on an existing PVC force main located on the east side of Greenwood Boulevard and Rinehart Road, along with installation of a new 12-inch electromagnetic flow meter assembly and bypass line south of Greenwood Boulevard within a power easement north of Green Way Boulevard. The contractor must coordinate temporary shutdowns of the City of Lake Mary Primera Lift Stations (three stations) and the private Fountain Parke Lift Station to accommodate valve installations at stations 41+50 and 44+00 near the Fountain Parke Boulevard intersection. These shutdowns are restricted to weekend and nighttime hours from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with the flow meter assembly requiring completion and operational status before the corresponding 16-inch plug valve installation. All other work may be sequenced at the contractor's discretion within the allowed timeframe while accommodating other on-site contractors.
The contractor bears full responsibility for securing vacuum trucks for pump-out operations at all designated lift stations, coordinating work schedules for employees and subcontractors, and managing utility locates, testing, and relocations. The County requires continuous 24/7 operation of existing facilities with contractor-provided bypass pumping as necessary to maintain sanitary sewer collection and transmission system operations during construction. The contractor must perform all required cutting and patching at no additional expense to the County, confine operations to permitted areas, and assume full responsibility for protection of stored materials and equipment on site. The Engineer's estimate for the project is $913,000. Bid documents are available through the Seminole County website at https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/seminolefl, and Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate. All responses constitute public records under Florida law.
