About this file

This Scope of Work document outlines the contractor responsibilities and service specifications for mowing and landscape maintenance services at four Citrus County Library locations in Florida. The contractor must provide comprehensive grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, mulching, trimming, and cleanup services at Central Ridge Library (5.02 acres), Coastal Region Library (5.35 acres), Homosassa Public Library (4.01 acres), and Lakes Region Library (9.93 acres including overflow area). The contract requires approximately 30 cuts annually at three library locations and approximately 12 cuts at Lakes Region Library's overflow area, with each site requiring completion within a single visit or maximum of two days. Mower blade height must be maintained at 3 to 3.5 inches, all edging must use metal blade equipment, and all ornamental and tree beds must be weeded regularly and mulched twice annually with high-grade Cypress mulch at three inches depth in the first week of November and second week of April. The contractor must notify the Grounds Maintenance Manager at (352) 527-5763 or sherri.genung@citrusbocc.com upon work completion and submit cut reports to both Sherri Genung and Debra Rogers at each service cycle's conclusion.

Payment is structured on a per-cut, per-site basis with invoices submitted monthly by the 10th day of the month for the previous month's services, with payment issued within 45 days of invoice receipt and verification. The contractor bears all responsibility for providing labor, materials, supplies, and equipment; complying with OSHA safety standards and all state and Citrus County certification and licensure requirements; and repairing any damage caused by contractor operations. Locations will be inspected prior to payment approval, and incomplete work or false invoicing constitutes grounds for contract termination. The contractor must ensure all work meets complete specifications during each visit, with cleanup of walks, drives, and open spaces required after each service, and must coordinate removal of tree limbs and palm fronds by contacting Grounds Maintenance at (352) 527-5760.
