About this file

Exhibit A for the City of Kentwood, Michigan's Request for Proposals (Project No. 25-016-536) details a comprehensive fire hydrant commercial blast and painting project. The document outlines a five-year plan to refurbish fire hydrants across the city, with 218 hydrants to be painted on major streets in the first year, followed by 200-250 hydrants annually on local streets in subsequent years. The project covers six mapped sections of the city, including major thoroughfares such as 44th Street, 52nd Street, 60th Street, Division, Eastern, Kalamazoo, Breton, and Walma Avenues.

The map in Exhibit A provides a detailed geographical breakdown of hydrant locations, with each hydrant assigned a unique identifier and marked with green arrows indicating the painting targets. The city seeks to systematically refresh its fire hydrant infrastructure, potentially improving visibility, preventing corrosion, and maintaining critical public safety infrastructure. The project appears to be structured as a multi-year contract with an initial one-year term and options for four additional one-year extensions, allowing for consistent and planned maintenance of the city's fire hydrant network.
