Scope of Work
The purpose of this project is to ….
Contractor Responsibility:
The Contractor shall provide everything--including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision--necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government.
The Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operation supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. All equipment shall meet or exceed OSHA specification.
There may or may not be a Forest Service designated representative on site with the Contractor during the contract. A COR or designated representative will always be available by phone, text, or email.

Any prospective contractor desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing from the Contracting Officer soon enough to allow a reply to reach all prospective contractors before the solicitation closing date. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding.
Maps
Any maps included in Section J are general in nature and are not to be considered as definitively identifying locations. Maps showing the general vicinity and/ or specific work areas will be provided at the pre-work meeting. Forest maps can be obtained for the local Forest through their website or in person at the Supervisor’s or District Office. Access to these websites can be obtained thru the Washington Office website (www.fs.fed.us).

The estimated start work date is XXXXX; however, the actual date work will begin is dependent upon seasonal weather and cone ripeness (and may be as early as August xx). Therefore, collection dates may vary widely.
Every attempt shall be made to have a meaningful collection.
When winter weather sets in and the continuation of work is impractical the Contracting Officer may authorize a total suspension until winter weather has passed and work can proceed. During the period of total suspension, the calendar days elapsed will not be charged against the contract time as specified in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-3.

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (except for Government-furnished property) and incidentals necessary to select and collect cones from new whitebark pine candidate trees in accordance with attached terms, conditions and specifications.

All Government-furnished property not used by the contractor will be returned to the Government before processing of the final payment. Damaged government property will be the responsibility of the contractor for repairs or replacement.
