This is a vendor registration requirements document issued by the Virginia Department of General Services (DGS) for participation in the eVA electronic procurement portal, which applies to the Southwest Virginia Regional Readiness Center Modernization and Back Up Generators project (VAFM PN 25-0007) in Abingdon, Virginia. The project involves construction of a new backup generator system to serve the SWVA RRC and the adjacent National Guard Recruiting Center located at 26502 Newbanks Road. Sealed bids for this construction project will be received electronically through eVA only, with a submission deadline of 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The bid opening will occur publicly at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Warehouse 561, Fort Pickett in Blackstone, Virginia. Questions regarding the invitation for bids should be directed to Kenneth Daniel at 434-264-2042 or Kenneth.m.daniel5.nfg@army.mil.
All vendors seeking to provide construction and professional services to the Commonwealth of Virginia must complete free eVA vendor registration and pay applicable vendor transaction fees to submit bids or proposals; failure to register will result in bid rejection. Vendor transaction fees are determined by the date the original purchase order is issued and are available on the eVA website at https://eva.virginia.gov/eva-billing.html. The contract is anticipated to result in multiple purchase orders, with eVA transaction fees assessed for each order issued.
