About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for RFP #2024-1 Kitchen Equipment issued by the Maypearl Independent School District (MISD) Child Nutrition Department located in Maypearl, Texas. The addendum provides clarification on several questions related to the installation of new ice machines, the disposal of existing machines, the specifications for the Advance Tabco Worktable and Lakeside Utility Carts, the type of gas required for the convection oven, and the size of the ice bin. MISD is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of various kitchen equipment items, with bids due by April 2, 2024.

The addendum indicates that the successful bidder will be responsible for installing the new equipment and disposing of the existing ice machines, as there is no central warehouse for MISD to handle the disposal. Bidders are instructed to provide pricing and details on the installation and disposal in the "Attachment E MISD Service Fees" document. The addendum also clarifies that the item numbers and manufacturer names can be used as a reference, but the item specifications take precedence in determining if a product meets the district's requirements.

ADDENDUM #2, RFP #2024-1

Kitchen Equipment

This addendum modifies the original document as listed below and is hereby incorporated to the contract documents. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum by returning the completed and signed form with the solicitation response.

QUESTIONS:

Q: Are you wanting the new ice machines to be installed? If so, do you want us to dispose of the existing ice machines or will you want them taken to a central warehouse for your team to dispose of?

A: Yes, the new ice machines will need to be installed along with the filtration systems. The old machines will need to be disposed/taken off-site as well as there is no central warehouse. Please note that you will need to have your own equipment to take care of the installation and disposal. Please indicate this information in the “Attachment E MISD Service Fees” document that will be included with your proposal.

Q: The description of the specs and the item number do not match for the Advance Tabco Worktable and the Lakeside Utility Carts. Do you want us to go off the item number or the specs?

A: The item number and manufacturer may be used as a reference to provide a product that best meets the needs of the district based off the specifications. Please refer to the item specifications over the latter to determine if an item meets the “recommended or equal” requirements.

Q: Do you want natural gas or LP gas for the convection oven? Do you also want a new gas line with the oven?

A: We will need a convection oven suited for natural gas. A new gas line will not be needed but please include any hoses/gas connectors that may be required to complete the connection.

Q: For the ice bin are you wanting 20”W x 34”D x 50”H or would you be okay with a 22”W bin?

A: We would like the 30”W bin that accommodates a capacity of 500-532lbs. “Attachment A - MISD Specifications” will be updated to reflect this.
