About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) from Angelo State University (ASU) for Pest Elimination and Control Services. The RFP covers the Texas counties under ASU's jurisdiction, including Tom Green County. The Addendum addresses questions and clarifies information regarding subcontracting, the current vendor's schedule, work order frequency and processes, the number of fly lights on campus, and the pricing structure. Key details include that ASU does not dictate the extent of subcontracting, the current vendor services the campus at least 3 days per week, and ASU receives 0-2 work orders per week for housing, 1-2 per month for academic buildings, and 1-2 per week for food service locations. The pricing is structured as a monthly rate, and the square footage covers only ASU's occupied space, not the entire leased buildings.

The Addendum also provides guidance on the placement of exterior rodent bait stations and clarifies that the pricing should be proposed as a monthly rate, not an annual price. This RFP is for a term contract to provide pest elimination and control services to ASU's campus facilities located within Tom Green County, Texas.

Questions and Answers Addendum

The Texas Comptroller changed their links as they are reformatting the website and forms, due to this and multiple questions regarding subcontractors and HUB, a Q&A addendum is being provided to this

RFP to clarify. https://comptroller.texas.gov/purchasing/vendor/hub/forms.php, this link has all of the HUB

Subcontracting Plan (HSP) Forms. Vendors need to read through the HSP Quick Checklist and select one of the four scenario responses regarding subcontracting that fits how they plan to perform the service. Angelo State University does not determine the exact method or extent of subcontracting for each company responding to the RFP; we only state we think there are opportunities. If a company plans to self-perform then they should select the last scenario "will be fulfilling the entire contract with your own resources."

How often is current vendor on campus each week?

Response: at least 3 days a week, sometimes 4.

How many workorders are generated each week? Can you please provide sample report of workorders received and buildings and breakdown by housing, academic and foodservice.

Response:

ASU Facilities Services calls in these work requests to the vendor, with issue and location. ASU Facilities Services is in the process of transitioning into a new work-order system and can discuss a change in this process if appropriate.

0-2 work orders per week for Housing 1-2 work orders per month for Academic 1-2 work orders per week for Food Service

Are workorders being completed at a set frequency? Ie- every Wednesday?

Response: No, the day or day after they are submitted. Incremental servicing is not generated on a work order at this time. This is logged with the daily check-in/out process with ASU Facilities Services as described in the RFP

How many fly lights do you currently have on campus?

Response: 0

Can bait stations be placed on loading dock exteriors for food service locations?

Response: Approved rodent bait stations are to be provided to treat exterior areas. These exterior bait stations must be made tamper resistant, secured so that they do not move and locked to prevent access by children and small non-target animals. The number and location should be based on exterior pest pressure and harborage.

On pricing pages, is base treatment price- 1-year annual price or a monthly price?

Response: monthly

For leased facilities is the square footage shown the lease space or entire building space? If entire building, can lease space be provided?

Response: Below are the updated square footages to show difference in ASU occupied vs total.

Requirement as posted in 3.3.1.D is that ASU space only is to be serviced, If you would like to provide a proposal rate for leased as well for consideration it can be supplied.
