BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The voters of the Aldine, Spring, and Humble school districts created North Harris County College in 1972 and opened the college for classes in 1973. Lone Star College began offering limited bachelor’s degrees in the fall of 2020. Lone Star College transferred more than 15,310 students to more than 550 universities from 2010-2020, including many of the top colleges in the country.
