About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to Request for Proposal (RFP) 2308-001 for Community Engagement Services issued by Central Health, a public health district in Texas. The RFP seeks a consultant or consulting team to support Central Health's Communications Team and the Central Health Equity Policy (CHEP) Council in developing a comprehensive communication strategy and policy advocacy strategy, with the goal of aligning these strategies with the organization's mission, goals, and values. The strategies will focus on effectively disseminating information, engaging the community, and driving policy and advocacy initiatives. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Communications Team and Strategy team to ensure the strategies are interconnected and mutually reinforcing.

The Q&A clarifies that the contract is not new, as Central Health has had this scope of work contracted out since 2014 and the Community Health Champions program since 2016. The preferred proposal submission method is through BidSync, and while a pre-proposal conference is not mandatory, a link to the recording will be posted. The Q&A also provides details on the frequency and format (in-person and virtual) of the various community engagement activities outlined in the Scope of Work.
