The contract will have multiple contractors selected to perform individual project work, with work over $5,000 being competitively bid between the selected contractors. The contract includes three main categories of work: Facility Asset Requests (FAR), Facilities Planning Design & Construction (FPD&C), and Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC). The Owner reserves the right to have up to four different contractors perform FAR work, and these projects will be allocated to the same contractors as the MAC work. The FPD&C work will be competitively bid by the General Contractor contracted by the Owner.

1. STATEMENT OF SERVICES
Contractor shall provide The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Owner), with all required labor, equipment and materials to provide standardized low‐voltage cabling services in compliance with Owner's Design Guidelines.
Contract Operational Points
• Multiple Contractors may be selected for individual project work under this scope of work.
• Individual project work greater than $5,000 may be competitively bid between Contractors once Agreements have been awarded.
• In some cases, new building cabling is managed and awarded by the MDACC General
Contractor (GC). Information Technology (IT) Business Services will recommend that the GC utilize one of the Contractors participating under this Agreement.
MD Anderson Cancer Center currently has three (3) major categories of low‐voltage cabling services for projects. These categories include:
a. Facility Asset Requests (FARs) ‐This category of work is generally medium to larger and more complicated in scope than a typical Move, Adds, and Changes (MAC) type project work. FAR requests often include facility modifications such as new construction, space renovation, area relocation, and more specific to Contractor work: low‐ voltage cabling remediation, and Telecommunications room redesign. FAR requests can either be made directly by an MD Anderson IT representative utilizing a competitive bidding process or a request through a General Contractor currently under contract with Owner to the cabling service Contractor. The Contractor will be notified of work to be bid that supports FAR projects and will include a Statement of Work to be included in the bidding package.
b. Facilities Planning Design & Construction (FPD&C) ‐ This category includes new facilities, extensive renovation, and large expansions of existing facilities. FPD&C projects may exceed $4,000,000.
c. Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) ‐ This category contains tasks ranging from the relocation of a single data drop from one location to another to the relocation of many quadruple drops within a suite. MAC work involves fewer than 5 cables per request on average. These requests are typically made directly to the cabling service providers by the Owner.
