About this file

This is a specifications attachment for solicitation 582-26-17499 issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for air conditioning units and repair parts to support maintenance of Bard Air Conditioning units installed at TCEQ Air Monitoring Network sites. The solicitation covers three categories of equipment: one-ton heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units with a minimum cooling capacity of 13,000 BTU per hour; one-and-one-half-ton units with a minimum cooling capacity of 17,400 BTU per hour; and three specific thermal and electrical components for the 5-kilowatt heat strips. All units must be wall-mountable, fit existing openings with specified dimensions, achieve a minimum Energy Efficiency Ratio of 11 per ANSI/ARI Standard 390-2003, include factory-installed 5-kilowatt electric heat strips, operate at 230 volts single phase 60 hertz, feature automated reset pressure controls and alarm relays, use 1-inch MERV2 disposable filters, include fresh air dampers, and provide manufacturer's five-year limited parts warranties. Units must have beige or buckeye gray baked enamel finish on galvanized zinc-coated steel.

The file does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, response or due dates, site visit requirements, bidders' conferences, award dates, or contract term details. Costs for installation modifications required when units do not fit existing openings will be factored into best value calculations for award purposes.
