About this file
This is an Addendum 1 to Request for Proposal 2026-05-001 issued by Central Texas Community Health Centers d/b/a CommUnityCare, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and Joint Commission-accredited healthcare provider in Travis County, Texas. The addendum, dated May 26, 2026, provides clarification on submission requirements for vendors responding to the point-of-care ultrasound equipment solicitation. CommUnityCare seeks qualified vendors to supply and deploy a mixed fleet consisting of three cart-based ultrasound machines and three handheld ultrasound devices with comprehensive ancillary services including maintenance, warranty coverage, training, and Epic EHR system integration. The addendum clarifies that one original printed copy of the RFP packet submission is required, along with one flash drive copy containing electronic versions of proposal documents. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 PM Central Time on June 11, 2026, to the solicitation specialist at 2115 Kramer Lane, Austin, TX 78758. The deadline for written questions was May 19, 2026, with written responses provided by May 26, 2026 through this addendum.
The RFP evaluation criteria weight compliance with specifications at 20 points, total cost of ownership at 15 points, ease of use at 15 points, equipment portability and battery life at 15 points, compatibility with Epic and PACS systems at 15 points, vendor healthcare industry reputation and experience at 10 points, and data management with HIPAA compliance at 10 points. No set-asides, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or incumbent vendors have been identified. CommUnityCare reserves the right to negotiate price and terms with any or all bidders and may award based on best overall value. Finalists may be invited for interviews including product demonstrations, and best and final offers may be requested before award. Contract term and budget amount are listed as "To Be Determined" based on funding availability and satisfactory service provision, with potential future enterprise partner purchases through group discount opportunities to be addressed in vendor pricing submissions.
