About this file

The document is a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (CIQ) for Brazosport College, required under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 176, which mandates disclosure of certain relationships with local government officers. The form is designed for vendors doing business with the college to report any potential conflicts of interest, including employment or business relationships with local government officers or their family members. The questionnaire requires vendors to disclose any taxable income relationships, gifts exceeding $100, or family connections to Brazosport College officers.

The document provides detailed definitions of key terms such as "vendor," "business relationship," "family relationship," and "local government officer," outlining specific scenarios that would constitute a conflict of interest. The form includes a list of Brazosport College Board of Regents and Officers, such as Robert Perryman (Chair), Dr. Vincent Solis (President), and Cara Green (Purchasing Manager). Vendors must complete the form even if no conflict exists, and in such cases, they are instructed to write "N/A" in the appropriate sections, sign, and date the document. The questionnaire emphasizes transparency and compliance with local government ethics regulations.

or (C) a purchase or lease of goods or services from a person that is chartered by a state or federal agency and that is subject to regular examination by, and reporting to, that agency. Texas Local Government Code 176.001(3).
