About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for Commercial Pest Control Services for the Abilene District. The SOW outlines comprehensive pest control requirements, including quarterly snake repellent treatments for 16,880 linear feet, annual ant control treatments for 564,267 square feet of turf, and detailed inspection and management protocols. The vendor must provide services on a scheduled or as-needed basis, with requirements for initial facility inspections, pest control management programs, and specific treatment approaches for various pests including crawling insects, hopping insects, rats, mice, and other rodents. The contract includes provisions for emergency services, call-back services for reinfestation, and requires vendors to submit detailed service tickets after each treatment.

The SOW establishes stringent vendor qualifications, requiring a minimum of three years of pest control experience, current business and applicator licenses from the Texas Department of Agriculture, and personnel with specific licensing and experience requirements. Vendors must have Responsible Certified Commercial Applicators (RCCA) and Certified Commercial Applicators (CCA) who can perform services across multiple locations. The document specifies detailed performance standards, with unsatisfactory performance potentially resulting in contract cancellation, and includes provisions for additional services beyond standard pest control. All travel and per diem costs must be included in the unit price, and vendors must comply with numerous operational requirements including background checks, English proficiency, and specific conduct standards while performing services at TxDOT facilities.
