About this file

This technical specification document from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) outlines the requirements for Full Body Security Millimeter Wave Scanner systems. The specifications detail requirements for scanner systems that must perform 360-degree multi-directional full body scans of stationary individuals within four seconds, displaying results on a mannequin interface. Each unit must have a pass-through design, operate on 110V-120-vac power with maximum 20 amp load, fit within dimensions of 95"H x 90"L x 60"W, and be specifically built for correctional environments. The systems must include touchscreen monitors, secondary viewing stations, UPS battery backup, and multiple layers of access control. Vendor training requirements include a minimum of two in-person sessions per site for up to 20 people, covering system functionality and image interpretation.

The document references two example models as technical benchmarks: the STVS ES3 and Leidos Pro Vision 3. While specific pricing terms are not included in this technical specification, the document focuses on the detailed functional and technical requirements that vendors must meet to be considered for the procurement. The specifications are part of a larger procurement for twenty scanner systems, indicating a significant investment by TDCJ in security screening technology for its correctional facilities.
