About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 for RFB No. 2024-081 issued by the City of Waco, Texas for the Mt. Carmel Water Treatment Plant Pump Equipment Purchase. The addendum provides answers to bidder questions and revisions to contract documents and technical specifications. Key dates remain unchanged with a closing time of 2:00 P.M. CST and opening time of 2:05 P.M. CST on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, via Zoom video and dial-in. The addendum clarifies that Flowserve 28 EKL-2 pump is acceptable in place of the discontinued 25ENL-3 model, and adds Sulzer as an approved manufacturer alongside Fairbanks Nijhuis Pentair, Flowserve, and Peerless Pump. Site visits will not be permitted as Mt. Carmel WTP is a secure facility.
The addendum makes several technical specification changes, including setting the minimum bowl efficiency requirement at 82% (reduced from 84%) and eliminating consideration of "or equal" substitutions. SIMFLO pumps were deemed unacceptable due to NPSH3 concerns. The addendum specifies that MCC1 and MCC2 will be new equipment purchased under this contract, and no further pump suppliers will be considered after the December 5, 2024 deadline for plan holder questions. Manufacturers must demonstrate compliance with specifications per Section 43 24 26.15 during the submittal phase.
