RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED:

1. When would it be the "substantial completion" of the project, we need to know this as liquidated damages will be charged for each day that the equipment is late.

Response: The project substantial completion is 430 calendar days and the final completion is 460 calendar days after the notice to proceed date.

2. Can you please confirm that this bid is asking just for the equipment and that no construction, installation, rehabilitation, mobilization services will be required by the bidder?

Response: Work includes assistance with installation, startup and testing services and training, as indicated in Appendix E Technical Specifications for individual equipment (Part 3 for motors and motor controllers and Part 2.9 for the vertical turbine pump).

3. Can you please confirm that equal pump manufacturers will be accepted for this project? Is there a due date for sending request for approval?

Response: Per Section 43 24 26.15-2.1.B, any consideration for "or equal" or substitute will be allowed only during the bid phase. Submit requests before the deadline to submit bidders’ inquiries.

4. Section 43 24 26.16: Has there been a physical model study done on the can or would you like the pump manufacture to do it as part of our scope?

Response: No physical model study was conducted for the pump can during design. Such a study is not required for this Contract.

5. Section 26 18 39 Medium Voltage Motor Controller: Is the motor controller required to be provided by the pump manufacturer?

Addendum No 1 Page 2 of 2
