About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) for professional engineering services for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) commissioning for buildings across the state of Texas. The RFQ seeks to award a contract for full building commissioning services, including peer review of design documents, coordination and witnessing of equipment testing, verification and documentation of correctly operating equipment, controls systems, and life safety systems. The contract term is anticipated to be 1,095 calendar days. Respondents must submit qualifications, including company information, relevant experience, proposed methodology, quality assurance/quality control, and a HUB Subcontracting Plan, by the due date of November 5, 2024. TFC will evaluate the submittals and may conduct interviews before making an award, which is anticipated by January 16, 2025.
The project is subject to TFC's HUB Subcontracting Plan requirements, which mandate either 100% HUB participation, meeting the goal, demonstrating a good faith effort solicitation, or self-performing the work. The approximate construction cost for the project is estimated at $50 million. TFC reserves the right to cancel the solicitation or make an award based on the most qualified respondent. There is no incumbent vendor or current contractor listed for this project.
