About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the University of North Texas System (UNTS) for a Fire Alarm System Job Order Contract. UNTS is seeking proposals from vendors who specialize in fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and fire suppression system services, including inspections, remedial work, and minor renovations. UNTS intends to select multiple vendors through this RFP and will assess them on a rotational or qualifications basis. The selected vendor(s) may be awarded projects managed by UNTS or its component institutions. The resulting contract will have an initial term of 36 months with two one-year renewal options.
The RFP outlines detailed service requirements, inspection guidelines, contract requirements, impaired system response requirements, modification and drawing requirements, and qualification criteria for respondents. Pricing is required for regular, after-hours, and holiday labor rates for various job functions. UNTS will evaluate proposals based on pricing, contractor experience, references, responsibility, safety record, and other criteria to determine the best value.
