About this file
This document is an addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-24-500A1 issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Comptroller of Public Accounts for the State of Texas. The IFB is for the procurement of Laundry Equipment, with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) as a major customer. The addendum provides answers to questions received regarding the IFB requirements. Key details include that the customer (TDCJ) will disconnect and remove existing equipment anchors, while the contractor is responsible for anchoring and grouting the new machine, as well as making final connections to utility lines within 15 feet. Manuals are required to be provided in hard copy format. The IFB allows for consideration of equivalent brands to the referenced specifications.
The IFB specifies the scope of work for the installation of the washers or dryers, including the customer's responsibility for removing existing equipment and providing utility connections within 3 feet, while the vendor is responsible for making final connections, leveling and anchoring the new equipment, providing startup, and training personnel. Pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, and other salient information were not provided in this addendum document.
