About this file
This is an Emergency Purchase Statement from the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office for General Services, involving the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). The document details an emergency procurement for document restoration services from ServPro of Peoria to recover water-damaged files. The project scope involves cleaning up and restoring approximately 80 file drawers of water-damaged documents, including 42 BOW file drawers, 31 BOL file drawers, and 7 BOA file drawers. The emergency service is expected to begin on March 3, 2025, and conclude by June 2, 2025, with an estimated contract value of $60,000.
The procurement was conducted as an emergency purchase, with IEPA reaching out to three vendors and selecting ServPro due to their expertise in document restoration and ability to perform immediate work. The agency determined there are only two vendors in the vendor pool for document recovery services, and ServPro was chosen based on competitive pricing and rapid response. The contract will be funded through State Appropriated Funds, and the emergency purchase was made with efforts to include Business Enterprise Program-certified contractors. The document restoration process involves drying, separating, and restoring files, with some drawers already being rotated and the most saturated files moved to an adjacent building for preservation.
