About this file

This is a Documented Quote Cover Sheet and solicitation document issued by the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) Purchasing Office on behalf of the Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSUD) Industrial Design Department for an engraving/cutting system. The solicitation requests quotes for one Epilog "Fusion 32" 120-Watt CO2 laser system with a 32" x 20" engraving area, one on-site installation and training package, one Epilog "Vector Table," and shipping. The equipment must be new, manufactured in the USA, and meet specified technical requirements including Mac-compatible drivers, ethernet interface, two-year "bumper to bumper" warranty, dual source capability (CO2 and fiber), and a maximum piece thickness of 13.25 inches. The quote due date was May 19, 2015, at 2:00 PM Mountain Time, with a desired delivery date of June 12, 2015. The resulting purchase order or contract was expected to commence from the award date through approximately August 8, 2015. AHEC intended to award to one vendor capable of fulfilling MSUD's anticipated needs, with the right to make awards to other responsive vendors if the initial awardee proved inadequate.

Quote costs were required to remain firm for 90 days after the quote due date and through the contract expiration date. All costs, including shipping, handling, and delivery charges, were to be quoted as FOB Destination to Auraria Central Receiving at 1201 5th Street, Denver, Colorado 80204. Vendors were required to provide complete specifications and product literature if quoting equivalent brands, and AHEC reserved the right to request samples at no expense to the center for evaluation purposes. Vendors were mandated to register with ColoradoVSS prior to the quote due date and monitor the platform for all official communications, modifications, and clarifications. All respondents were required to submit a completed W-9 form and Vendor Mailing Address Form, along with certificate of insurance within ten business days of award. Colorado's reciprocity statute (CRS 8-18-101) was applicable to the solicitation, providing preferences for resident bidders over nonresident bidders equal to preferences given in the nonresident's home state.
