4. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO COMPLETELY RESEARCH THESE MANUALS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND STANDARDS AND

FULLY UNDERSTAND THE REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF COMPONENT PARTS AND ASSEMBLIES. ALL DEVIATIONS, MINOR AND MAJOR, FROM THE ENGINEERING DATA PACKAGE SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO 416 SCMS/GUEAB

STRUCTURES ENGINEERING FOR COORDINATION AND APPROVAL.

5. WHEN MILITARY DOCUMENTS LISTED IN THE ENGINEERING DRAWING ARE CANCELLED THEY SHALL BE REPLACED BY THE

INDUSTRY EQUIVALENT DOCUMENT SPECIFIED ON THE MILITARY DOCUMENT’S CANCELLATION NOTICE. THIS APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS THAT ARE CITED IN THE DRAWING, AS WELL. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TYPE, GRADE, CLASS, ETC. SPECIFIED IN THE CANCELLED MILITARY DOCUMENT SHALL BE MAINTAINED OR EXCEED THOSE CHARACTERISTICS WHEN APPLYING THE INDUSTRY EQUIVALENT DOCUMENT(S). WHEN THERE IS NO LISTED REPLACEMENT THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REQUEST AND RECOMMEND A SUBSTITUTE DOCUMENT FROM 416 SCMS/GUEAB STRUCTURES

ENGINEERING THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING OFFICIAL.

6. USE OF NORTHROP GRUMMAN SPECIFICATION Z-R701 IN CONJUNCTION WITH MIL-STD-130 IS MANDATORY TO ENSURE THE

PROPER MARKING OF THE PARTS. (Z-R701 HAS UNLIMITED DATA RIGHTS IN JEDMICS)

7. "IUID" (ITEM UNIQUE IDENTIFIER) IS REQUIRED IAW MIL-STD-130. SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR MARKING METHODS, LOCATION, CONTENT AND FORMAT SHALL BE SPECIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO CONTRACT DELIVERY. THE CONTRACTOR MUST DEMONSTRATE THE MARKING DOES NOT ADVERSELY AFFECT ITEM INTEGRITY OR PERFORMANCE AND WILL REMAIN READABLE AND ATTACHED THROUGHOUT THE USEABLE LIFE OF THE ITEM.

IUID IS REQUIRED FOR ITEMS WHERE THE INDIVIDUAL COST PER UNIT IS GREATER THAN $5,000 OR IF THE ITEM HAS BEEN

IDENTIFIED AS FATIGUE CRITICAL REGARDLESS OF THE ITEMS PER UNIT COST.

8. THE 160D612514 DRAWING AND ASSOCIATED PARTS LIST MAKE REFERENCES TO THE GEOMETRIC DEFINITION OF THE PART

BEING CONTROLLED BY 3D MODELS. THIS REQUIREMENT IS TO BE IGNORED AND PARTS SHALL BE MANUFACTURED USING THE DRAWING, LOFT MASTER, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED DATA LISTED ON THE ENGINEERING DATA LIST (EDL). NOTE THAT THE LOWER SURFACE CONTOUR / WING LOWE BCL IS ILLUSTRATED WITHIN DOCUMENT T160D612514BAJ, WHICH IS USED TO DEFINE

THE BOND FORM TOOLING SURFACE.

9. WHERE FOAMING CORE SPLICE / EXPANDABLE ADHESIVE (B-M101) IS REQUIRED, LOCTITE EF 562 MAY BE USED IN LIEU OF

HYSOL MA-562.

10. THE 47 EACH 160D612514-13 INSERTS SHALL BE CENTERED/LOCATED USING THE MOUNTING HOLE CENTER POINT LOCATIONS DEPICTED ON LM160D612514. THE ASSOCIATED 47 EACH 0.190”-0.194” DIAMETER COUNTERSINK HOLES SHALL BE OMITTED.

HOLES WILL BE DRILLED UPON INSTALLATION. COORDINATE FEATURES WITH LM160D612514. IF THESE FEATURES ARE IN CONFLICT WITH DRAWING 160D612514, CONTACT 416 SCMS/GUEAB ENGINEERING WITH QUESTIONS.

11. MIL-I-24768/16 MATERIAL MAY BE USED IN LIEU OF MIL-P-15035 (TYPE FBM) FOR 160D612514-13 INSERTS.

12. ADD 0.25” EXCESS TRIM ALONG FORWARD EDGE, INBOARD EDGE (ALONG OUTBOARD TRAILING EDGE FLAP [OTEF] STATION

3.77), AND OUTBOARD EDGE (ALONG OTEF STATION 84.75) OF THE PANEL. ON THE LOWER SURFACE OF THE PART AT APPROXIMATELY 2” FROM WHERE EXCESS TRIM WAS ADDED, MARK THE PART IAW MIL-STD-130/Z-R701 (CODE RS: RUBBER STAMP) AT 18”-20” INTERVALS WITH A LEADER POINTING TO THE EDGE/EXCESS MATERIAL USING THE FOLLOWING TEXT:

• PART ORIGINALLY MFD. WITH 0.25” EXCESS TRIM ALONG THIS EDGE.
