About this file

Exhibit E is a Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct for Third Parties document issued by San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), detailing the compliance requirements for contractors working with the organization. The document outlines comprehensive expectations for contractors regarding federal, state, and governmental health care program requirements, including accurate claims submission, reporting obligations, and ethical standards.

The code emphasizes strict adherence to compliance standards, mandating that contractors report any suspected violations within 15 days, use the SMMC Disclosure Program (Compliance Hotline at 800-965-9775), and avoid conflicts of interest. Contractors are prohibited from offering kickbacks, bribes, or gifts, and must cooperate fully with potential audits. Non-compliance could result in termination of the agreement and potential legal penalties. The document is part of a broader procurement effort for Language Services and Interpretation, with an estimated budget of $2,230,000, serving San Mateo County's healthcare needs.
