About this file

This document is a Navy Service PM Data Sheet for a 1MW Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) periodic maintenance service requirement. It provides a detailed checklist for conducting pre-run, during-run, and post-run inspections and tests on the generator set, including the turbine prime mover, electrical systems, and trailer/mobility components.

The related federal contract opportunity is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Turbine Marine Gas Turbine Generator Maintenance and Operation Support Services. This is a sole source requirement for Turbine Marine, Inc. to provide firm-fixed-price services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. The contract will have a base period plus up to two option periods. The requirement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 333611 with a size standard of 1,500 employees. Quotations are due by the response date and time specified in the solicitation.

GENERATOR SERVICE DESCRIPTION P/N: TMC56334801.1MW
Gas Turbine Generators (GTG) 1MW, 460Vac Primary 3-Phase 60 Hz.
Periodic Maintenance (PM) service Introduction, overview and check list.
Check all Generator components before (PM) service run.
Basic operational checks shall be conducted prior and during the (PM) runs of the Generators.
This shall include the primary equipment, and all associated equipment to demonstrate full functionality of the total equipment system.

Proper operation of all manual and automatic controls, prime-mover, and adjusting mechanisms and accessories shall be verified during this period.

The prime-mover de-rating chart must be used during Load testing.
The Turbine engines display air temperature indicator, will determine what ambient de-rating to use during required load testing. Reference operating manual for
ambinet de-rating.
GENERATOR AC 3-PHASE ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS CHECKS:
1000 kW /1250 kVA Prime Minimum Rating at ISO 15C° / 59F° Ambient Conditions.
(De-rating chart will be used during testing for proper loading)
460Vac Primary Voltage +/- 20Vac.
60Hz. Ensure frequency regulation is +/- 5% of rated frequency of 60 Hz (57Hz - 63Hz)
3-phase ABC Rotation
Breaker status and operation function
Testing: (25% - 50% - 75% - 100% Load-steps per ambient de-rating schedule)
UN-GROUNDED POWER GROUND FAULT SYSTEMS CHECKS:
An active DC Ground Fault tester can be used during service runs if required, to ensure proper generator ground isolation during operation.
Generator Chassis Safety Grounding point must always be used during PM testing and Operation.
Pre- Running Notes:
Diesel fuel for the loaded runs, and JP fuels for flushing are also acceptable fuel combinations.
JP Fuels are preferred for the entirety of the Service runs.
