Appendix “B” Argonne National Laboratory Statement of Work Staff Augmentation/Logistics Services November 30, 2020
Argonne National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary science and engineering research facility owned by and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (“DOE”). The facility is maintained and operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, under a Prime Contract between U.S. DOE and UChicago Argonne, LLC in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR”) Subpart 17.6 and the DOE Acquisition Regulation (“DEAR”) Part 970, and pursuant to DOE Prime Contract accessible at http://www.anl.gov/contract/. More information about Argonne, its mission and activities is available at www.anl.gov.
Contractor shall provide employer of record services to UChicago Argonne, LLC (the “Laboratory”) as provided in this Statement of Work (“SOW”) and all of the Basic Ordering Agreement and other terms and conditions to which this SOW is attached.
Tasks To the extent specified in a Work Order (“WO”) issued by the authorized procurement representative of the Laboratory, Contractor shall provide employer of record services for the individual(s), country(ies), term(s), and the rates specified in the WO, not exceeding the funding levels authorized.
Contractor’s employer of record services shall include the following:
1. Serving as the individual’s exclusive employer of record for services provided hereunder, and paying to the individual the specified and agreed upon salary and benefits.
2. Performing all acts and services necessary to ensure timely compliance with, at a minimum, all applicable U.S. and non-U.S. employment and other laws, insurance requirements, governmental filings, tax payment and filing obligations and other legal requirements associated with the individual performing services pursuant to this agreement.
3. Visa sponsorship where the employee is not a citizen of the country of employment.
4. To the extent requested by the Laboratory, performing concierge services for the individuals in non-U.S. countries, including providing assistance with locating local housing, obtaining health care insurance if not included within the Contractor’s compensation plan, and rendering assistance to the individual regarding income tax filing preparation.
