About this file
This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement from the State of Illinois Central Management Services Division of Strategic Sourcing - Facilities Portfolio. The emergency purchase was made to clean up an oil spill from a leaking generator that got into Lake Story in Galesburg, Illinois. EnviroServe was selected as the vendor due to their proximity to the location, which was critical given the emergency nature of the situation. The estimated cost for equipment and labor to clean up the spill is $65,000, with an expected start date of February 9, 2024 and an estimated end date of May 9, 2024.
The agency made efforts to include contractors certified under the Business Enterprise Program, but there was only one such vendor registered under the applicable NIGP code, and they were located almost 2 hours away, so EnviroServe was selected as the most suitable option. The purchase will be funded through State Appropriated Funds. The agency authorized the emergency purchase, citing their understanding of the contents and accuracy of the statement.
