About this file
This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) regarding an emergency contract for auto parts supply. The emergency contract is with Genuine Parts Company to provide efficient ordering and 24/7 delivery of auto parts required for IDOT District 1's winter season road clearing operations. The contract has an estimated value of $1.8 million and a term from November 17, 2022 to February 15, 2023. The existing state contract does not allow IDOT to obtain the required parts on a 24/7 basis, which is a critical need during the winter season. The funding for this emergency contract will come from state appropriated funds.
The document provides details on the justification for the emergency procurement, the scope of supplies and services to be provided, and the signatures authorizing the emergency contract. It also includes provisions for a potential extension of the contract beyond the initial 90-day emergency term, if determined necessary by the Chief Procurement Officer. The final costs and term of the contract will be reported later.
