About this file
This is an Emergency Purchase Extension Approval form from the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office for General Services, submitted by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Operations Division for Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc. The emergency contract is for snowplow repair parts and accessories, with an original term from November 26, 2024 to February 23, 2025, and a requested extension period from February 24, 2025 to June 30, 2025. The scope of work involves providing Monroe snowplow repair parts and accessories as needed during the emergency period, with no change to the scope during the extension.
The original emergency contract amount was $1,000,000 (estimated), with no additional funds requested for the extension period ($0). There is no Business Enterprise Program (BEP) participation on this contract as no BEP vendors supply these parts. The emergency procurement was necessitated by the expiration of the previous master contract (BidBuy P-19940) on April 30, 2023, with no replacement contract yet in place. While Monroe Truck Equipment holds cooperative contracts via NASPO and Sourcewell, these options are not currently available. CMS is working on developing a competitive master contract as a long-term solution, but the emergency extension is needed to maintain public safety and operational effectiveness during winter months.
