About this file
This document is an Emergency Purchase Extension request from the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) for a Joint Purchasing Master Contract (JPMC) with Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC for Cisco hardware, services, SmartNet maintenance, and licensing. DoIT is requesting a 180-day extension of the original emergency contract, which was set to expire on June 26, 2022. The extension will run from June 27, 2022, through December 22, 2022, to prevent disruption in critical state services. The original emergency contract was for $4,000,000, and the extension request is for an additional $13,000,000. This JPMC is available to all governmental units and qualified non-profit entities in Illinois.
The extension is necessary because the ongoing VOIP RFP process has not yet resulted in a new contract, and DoIT and other state agencies rely on this JPMC for Cisco products, maintenance, and services. The extension will cover DoIT's estimated $5,000,000 in FY23 SmartNet maintenance costs, as well as additional day-to-day orders by DoIT and other JPMC agencies. Without this extension, these agencies would not have access to a contract with discounted Cisco pricing.

DoIT is requesting the execution of a 180 day extension to emergency contract CMT2026698 JMPC to prevent or minimize serious disruption in critical State services that affect health, safety, or collection of substantial State revenues. The current emergency contract extension (ext # 1) ends 6/26/22 and a new contract will not be executed from the VOIP RFP before 6/26/22, thus the need to extend this existing emergency contract.
