About this file

This document is an Emergency Purchase Extension for the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) related to a Joint Purchasing Master Contract (JPMC) with Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC for Cisco hardware, services, SmartNet maintenance, and licensing. DoIT is requesting a 180-day extension of the existing emergency contract, which was originally executed on December 29, 2021 and was set to expire on March 28, 2022. The extension would run from June 26, 2022 through December 22, 2022, with an estimated expenditure of $13,000,000. This JPMC is available to all governmental units and qualified non-profit entities. The extension is necessary to prevent disruption of critical state services while DoIT completes the evaluation of bids received for a new Voice over IP (VoIP) RFP, which will eventually replace this contract.

The estimated $13,000,000 in expenditures includes $5,000,000 for FY23 SmartNet maintenance and $8,000,000 for day-to-day orders by DoIT and other JPMC participating agencies. Funding will come from state appropriated funds. Without this extension, DoIT and other JPMC agencies would lose access to a contract providing discounted Cisco products and services.
