About this file

The document is a Capability Form (Appendix A) for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Market Survey regarding Electrical Distribution Equipment (EDE) III procurement. The FAA is seeking a 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to replace, enhance, and support existing power systems, with a two-year base period and four potential two-year option periods. The survey requires vendors to provide detailed information about their capabilities, including previous and current contracts similar in size and scope to the draft Statement of Work, with specific focus on services such as personnel, program management, hardware, software, logistics, and training.

The survey seeks comprehensive vendor information across multiple dimensions, including the ability to provide electrical distribution equipment like paralleling switchgear, switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, transformers, and panel boards. Vendors must describe their geographic service capabilities (across nine U.S. regions), equipment delivery lead times, potential subcontractor arrangements, and technical support capabilities both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS). The FAA is also exploring the potential incorporation of microgrid equipment and is seeking vendor input on equipment refresh/obsolescence strategies. The primary NAICS code for this opportunity is 335311 Power, Distribution and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing, with a size standard of 800 employees.

In order to make the best determination, the FAA requires interested vendors to fill out Appendix A addressing the following and per the instructions below:

· Capability Questions start in Block A.

· Interested vendors may reference the same contract (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3) for multiple citations.

· Supporting document attachments are permitted, provided they reference the specific contract (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3) citation.

· If work was performed on a specific Task Order, cite both the Task Order number and the Base/Parent Contract number.

This form can be completed on government and/or commercial sector projects. Scope may be represented on one contract/project or be represented on separate contract(s)/ project(s) providing same or similar services; within ten (10) years of the issuance of the Market Survey.
