Dive Operations to Renew Underwater Fasteners – Revised 09/16/2014
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/RECOMMENDATIONS
Location of Work: NOAA Marine Operations Center Atlantic (MOC-A), 439 West York Street, Norfolk, VA 23510
Performance Period: 21 calendar days overall* [see Details below] starting 10 October 2014 through 31 October 2014 [21 days]
Note: Columbus Day is a Federal Holiday on 13 October 2014. Dive operations, shipboard hotwork and COR inspections may not be authorized on 13 October in accordance with DOC and NOAA Policies.
Ship’s Location: Ship will be operating near MOC-A in Norfolk, VA in September and October 2014 [homeport is in New Castle, NH]
Pre-Bid Inspection (Proposed): 29 September 2014, 0800 – 1000.
Local point of contact for pre-bid inspection arrangements and government facility security access is Jim Stricker at 757-441-6717.
Provide Individual Name, Company Name, and confirm US Citizen at least 24 hours in advance for government facility access. Do Not provide SSN or other PII.
Bid Opening (Proposed): 7 October 2014
Early Purchase Order Award (Proposed): Request award on or before 9 October 2014 to allow the Contractor to schedule a series of dives.
* Performance Period Details: Dive Operations Work Requirements are anticipated to be accomplished in five working days. A series of five day inport periods in October are being blocked off in the ship’s schedule within a 21 day overall period.
