About this file

This is an E-Verify Declaration form from Pierce County, Washington, requiring contractors to enroll in the federal E-Verify program for county contracts exceeding specific monetary thresholds. The document outlines mandatory requirements for contractors bidding on public works projects over $100,000 or other county contracts over $25,000 with a contract duration greater than 120 days. Contractors must enroll in the E-Verify system, provide documentation affirming enrollment and participation, and ensure that all applicable subcontractors also comply with the requirement.

The declaration form requires contractors to certify under penalty of perjury that they are currently enrolled in the E-Verify system implemented on March 1, 2010, and will continue using it throughout the project's duration. Pierce County reserves the right to request a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding between the contractor and the Department of Homeland Security at any time, with failure to provide this document within 10 days potentially resulting in contract suspension. The form must be signed by an authorized representative of the bidding/proposing firm, demonstrating compliance with the county's workforce verification requirements.
