About this file
This document is an E-Verify Declaration form from Pierce County, Washington, specifically designed for contractors bidding on county contracts. The form requires businesses seeking county contracts exceeding $100,000 for public works or $25,000 for other contracts (with durations over 120 days) to enroll in the E-Verify program, which verifies the employment eligibility of workers. The Prime Contractor must provide certification of enrollment with their bid submittal and is responsible for verifying the enrollment of all applicable subcontractors.
The declaration mandates that enrolled firms continue using the E-Verify system throughout the project's duration and acknowledge Pierce County's right to request documentation of their enrollment at any time. Failure to provide the required Memorandum of Understanding from the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days of request could result in contract suspension. The form must be signed under penalty of perjury, with the signatory certifying their authorization to represent the bidding/proposing entity and confirming ongoing participation in the E-Verify program as outlined in Pierce County Code 2.106.022.
