About this file

This document is a pre-bid meeting presentation for the Sebastian Municipal Airport Netting Replacement project (RFP 25-04-RFP) hosted by the City of Sebastian on November 12, 2024. The project seeks solutions to extend, replace, or enhance the current net structure to a height of 50 feet, with specific requirements including preserving the existing 30' netting if possible, using black netting that resists mold and fungus, and providing a turn-key installation with all necessary anchoring hardware and cables. The solicitation schedule indicates a question deadline of November 15, 2024, with responses due on November 25, 2024, and a tentative council award anticipated in January 2025.

The administrative requirements include electronic bid submission through VendorLink, with a mandatory 5% proposal security and an authorized signature from a corporate officer. A strict "Cone of Silence" policy is in effect from October 17, 2024, to December 4, 2024, prohibiting contact with city council members and staff except the procurement representative. Potential bidders must submit all questions in writing to Jessica Graham, the Procurement/Contracts Manager, and all modifications or clarifications will be issued via addendum on VendorLink. The project is part of Sebastian's Centennial Celebration (1924-2024) and aims to address golf ball interference with airport hangars.
