USMMA sewage pump procurement questions and answer 2

Question:

In order to change out the pump systems, the flows will have to be stopped. Is it anticipated that each area can be shut for an extended period of time, or are we to expect the installation of a bypass with minimal shutdown time?

Answer:

No bypass will be required. Shut downs for an extended period of time are permitted; however, must be coordinated with the USMMA Department of Public Works (DPW). DPW will provide portable toilets for the impacted buildings.
