Sewage Ejector Pump Questions and Answers One
Question One
The existing doorways/openings are only 3’ wide with a clear opening of 35” +or-. This would propose a problem with getting the complete pump package system through the existing door openings at some of the locations.
We were advised by a Liberty Pump representative that segmented tanks are not available to accommodate the existing condition. Is it the intent of the RFP to direct us to include demolition and reinstallation of the doorways in question?
Answer
Contractors are not required to use the liberty pump brand. The liberty pump specifications are provided as an example. Other pump manufacturers are suitable if they are equivalent in the form, fit, function and durability.
The statement of work states that the contractor will verify all measurements to be sure equipment will fit. The statement of work goes on to state the contractor will be responsible for repair of all damage to surrounding areas.
