WA FS ERFO 151‐2101

FDR 2922 Repairs

# General Technical Question Answer Date

1 x I assume the CO makes the call if the roadway/structure excavation is not suitable. If the 6500 cubic yards called out on sheet D.1 in the plans in unsuitable it has to be hauled off the project site and replaced with select borrow? This would be above and beyond the 11,250 tons of

Select borrow furnished by the government correct?

The roadway excavation material will need to be tested for suitability as select borrow per the requirements of 704.07.

Unsuitable roadway excavation is required to be hauled off of US

Forest Service land and legally disposed of per the requirements of 203.05. It was assumed that about a quarter of the roadway excavation would be unsuitable. The Contractor will provide the select borrow necessary to complete the work beyond what is provided by (1) suitable roadway excavation material and (2) government furnished select borrow.
