This document provides details for a forthcoming federal contract solicitation for security system design and integration services. The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking proposals to perform a complete technical refresh of security systems at staffed facilities, which may include replacing integrated physical access control, surveillance, and perimeter intrusion detection systems as well as intercoms and door hardware. Access control systems must meet HSPD-12 and NIST FIPS requirements and be on the GSA approved products list. All facilities must be accessible for remote monitoring through the FAA's security management system. Interested vendors are invited to submit comments on draft documents by August 3, 2017 to inform the final solicitation, which is anticipated to be publicly released through full and open competition.
